Temperature Sensor, all types are used in many industrial and non-industrial applications for the measurement of temperature. Thermometry is the measurement of temperature. There are two basic methods for temperature measurement, contact and non contact. Within these two groupings, an engineer is likely to come into contact with six types: thermocouples, resistive temperature devices (RTDs and thermostats), infrared radiators, bimetallic devices, liquid expansion devices, and change-of-state devices.
